Q. How many guests can I accommodate?
A. It depends on the size of the marquee and whether your guests will be seated around tables or standing. We can give you advice on seating plans, however, our approximate guidelines are as follows:-

28’ X 38’ marquee – up to 80 seated or 100 standing
28’ x 28’ marquee – up to 40 seated or 54 standing
20’ x 30’ marquee - up to 48 seated or 60 standing
20’ x 20’ marquee – up to 24 seated and 32 standing

 

Q. Are the marquees waterproof?
A. Yes.

 

Q. How do the side walls attach?
A. The side walls fit nicely into the arches in the marquee. There is a cord that runs along inside of the arches and the side walls clip on to the cord. They can also be pegged to the ground if required.

 

Q. Do I pay extra for side walls?
A. No we bring them as matter of course and are included in the price

 

Q. Can I attach them myself?
A. If you decide to attach them later in the day they should take no longer that a couple of minutes each side wall.

 

Q. Will I need carpeting / matting?
A. It does depend on the summer weather, the type of event and the condition of the grass. Most weddings require carpeting but many of the more informal events that we cover work well without the carpet or matting.


Q. Will I need heaters?
A. Again it does depend on the weather and how late your event is likely to go on in the evening.

 

Q. What do we need to provide, for us to have lighting?
A. We require a standard plug point and we provide circuit breakers.


Q. If my event is on the Saturday when would you set up?
A.It depends on the type of event, but we like to be finished earlier on Fridays for weddings leaving Friday afternoon and Saturday morning for the more informal events.

 

Q. Do you hire other equipment that we might need for a party?
A. We can supply crockery, cutlery, glasses, table linen, patio tables & chairs, & umbrellas. We can also supply a variety of tableware and other items including cafetieres, water boilers and BBQ griddles. Please ask and we are sure to be able to supply it!

 

Q. Can the marquees be set up on hard surfaces?
A. No they are only able to be put up on grass.
